Ten races in the 50th season of the NLS

The ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie will celebrate its 50th season in 2026. The starting signal will be given on March 14. This will be followed by six further dates with seven races, which will also be organized by VLN, the organization behind the traditional racing series in the Green Hell. Following their successful integration over the past two years, the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers will once again be part of the championship next year. This means there will be a total of ten races on the calendar.

“Over the past 49 years, the NLS has established itself as a fixture in international motorsport. I can’t think of any other series with a longer history, apart from Formula 1 and Nascar,” says VLN Managing Director Mike Jäger. “Founded in 1977 by enthusiastic motorsport clubs, it has retained its authenticity despite constant development and professionalization. The fact that things are going so well at the moment is down to teamwork. And so I would like to take this opportunity to thank the VLN employees in particular.”

Those responsible for the Nürburgring are also looking to the future with confidence. “Endurance motorsport has always been part of the DNA of the Nürburgring Nordschleife – and the NLS has been an important part of that since 1977,” says Christian Stephani, Managing Director of Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG. “Through the continuous expansion of its media reach, it now conveys the fascination of the Green Hell to the whole world. We are already looking forward to the 50th season next year.”

The ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie has been a success story since its inception, attracting numerous spectators to the race track and the region. Its current popularity is also reflected in the media figures. In the current season, the seven races held so far have generated more than 42 million video views on YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms.
