The calendar for the ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie is set. The championship includes ten races on eight event weekends. The two ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers are again part of the NLS. The calendar is supplemented by the already announced NLS-Light event, in which vehicles of the SP9, SPX, SP-Pro and Cup 2 classes are not eligible.
The season opener will take place on 22 March 2025. The 70th ADAC Westfalenfahrt traditionally opens the racing year in the Green Hell. There will be four more races before the Nordschleife season highlight, the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring (19-22 June). On 5 July, the premiere will take place under the motto ‘NLS-Light’. Some of the GT3 teams will then have three 24-hour races behind them in just three weeks, so there will be a break on the Nordschleife. The highlight of the NLS is then scheduled for 16 August. The race will in future be known as the ‘KW 6h ADAC Ruhr-Pokal-Rennen’. The suspension specialist from Fichtenberg is taking over the title sponsorship of the MSC Ruhr-Blitz Bochum event.
‘KW has been one of the big names in endurance racing in the Green Hell for years, and we are proud that the company around Jürgen and Klaus Wohlfarth will be supporting our event in the future,’ says Horst-Helmuth Bube, 1st Chairman of the MSC Ruhr-Blitz Bochum. ’For KW automotive GmbH, involvement in the traditional Nordschleife championship is a matter of honour. Around 50 per cent of the NLS starting field has been relying on our KW Racing suspensions for years. Next year, our KW Race Service will also be celebrating its 25th anniversary in the NLS paddock,’ says managing director Jürgen Wohlfarth. ’For us, the NLS is one of the most exciting championships, with so many different vehicles competing. That’s why we are happy to support one of the NLS season highlights.’
The double header of the ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, which has been established in recent years, will take place from 12-14 September. The finale will take place on 11 October, more than a month earlier than this year.
‘Next year we have a compact race calendar from the end of March to the beginning of October,’ says VLN managing director Mike Jäger. ’The fact that we as NLS have eight dates for nine races and that we are also happy to include the two qualifier races in our classification again enables us to host an NLS-Light event for the first time. However, due to the extensive calendar with ten races, there are also three strike results, so that teams can also fight for the championship that do not have the opportunity to take part in all ten races due to budget or scheduling conflicts.’
