Yes, you can still enjoy the NLS at the Nordschleife for free. Outside the exclusive spectator areas at Brünnchen, Pflanzgarten, and the Schwalbenschwanz doubleheader, as well as the Grand Prix track, you have free admission.

The standard schedule for a typical race day is structured as follows:
8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.: Qualifying
10:20 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.: Pit Walk
11:10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.: Grid Walk
11:00 a.m. – 11:40 a.m.: Starting Grid
12:00 p.m. – 4:00/6:00 p.m.: Race (4/6 hours)

The pit walk allows you to get up close to the action. During this time, the engines are off, the cars are parked in and outside the pit lane, and you can get a close look at everything in the pit lane and chat with the drivers and mechanics. Does a tire smell different when it’s warm? What does a race car actually look like inside, and how do four teams manage to share one pit and one fuel pump? Find out at the pit walk!

There’s usually a seamless transition between the pit walk and the grid walk. While the race cars roll onto the starting grid, all ticket holders have the opportunity to inspect the cars on the start and finish straight and see how the drivers complete their final touches before the race starts.
