The 320 HP strong turbo race cars made in Rüsselsheim/ Germany have since long not only captured the hearts of the Opel fans around the legendary Nordschleife. The teams and the drivers likewise appreciate the comprehensive package in this one-make cup that does hardly leave any wish unfulfilled.
The registration fee of 2,300 Euro per car includes a comprehensive package. The total of 135,000 Euro is allocated as prize money each year. Each team will furthermore receive a start money of 300 Euro per car and race (which means 3,000 Euro for the complete season), four VLN permanent passes plus four entrance tickets for the annual prizegiving ceremony, access to the Cup specific catering valid for four persons and finally the team wear for the drivers. In the Astra OPC Cup Kissling Motorsport in a way acts as an all-in-one service provider, promotion and organisation as well as all technical matters of the Cup are in the full responsibility of team manager Stefan Kissling and his team. They are available for the teams at all times to provide support with advice and action and they take care of the complete spare part logistics at the race track. The teams do thus not need to plan an extensive and thus cost-intensive individual spare part storage.
“Customer sports has always been a primary concern for Opel”, says Opel Motorsport Director Jörg Schrott. “Customer satisfaction is a very important issue for us. It is hence our ambition to respond to the teams’ wishes and to create a platform with the Astra OPC Cup so that they can perform their passion in both a professional and agreeable environment. We could hardly have a better partner than Kissling Motorsport for that purpose.”
