No more class changes – maximum competition in SP10

Goodyear Presents Attractive Support Package

The ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) is focusing on a clear sporting sharpening and even closer collaboration with strong partners for the upcoming season. As part of an adjustment to the “Specials” regulations by ADAC Nordrhein in cooperation with the NLS, all GT4 cars will henceforth be exclusively grouped in the SP10 class, while long-standing partner Goodyear is launching an exclusive support program for participants in this category. Vehicles that have or have had GT4 homologation will no longer be permitted to compete in the SP8T or SP7 classes, significantly increasing the competitiveness in SP10.

This strategic move is the result of constructive dialogue between the organizer and the teams. The rulemakers had already presented the concept at a team manager meeting during the past season and received broad support for the consolidation. The goal is to offer fans and drivers thrilling wheel-to-wheel battles in one of the most popular vehicle categories, without splitting the field into different classifications. By concentrating on a single class, the sporting value of a class victory increases significantly. Exceptions – for example, for very old Porsche Cayman GT4s that are a much better fit for the SP7 class – remain possible after consultation with the organizer.

Exclusive Sponsorship: Goodyear Rewards Sporting Success in SP10

A special highlight for SP10 participants is Goodyear’s new initiative. Although there are no spec tires in the class, allowing drivers to choose their own tires, numerous teams already rely on Goodyear products. To further expand this presence, the tire manufacturer has come up with something special for 2026 and will support the three highest-placed GT4 cars competing in the SP10 class on Goodyear tires with high-quality prizes. As part of the NLS annual awards ceremony, the highest-placed Goodyear participant will receive a voucher for three sets of GT4 slick tires, while the second-place finisher will receive two sets and the third-place finisher one set free of charge.

Sebastian Trinks, Sales Account Manager Racing at Goodyear, emphasizes the significance of this commitment: “We are delighted to further expand our long-standing and trusted partnership with the NLS this year, as we are absolutely convinced of the series’ development. Goodyear already has a strong presence in the GT4 category, and we want to continuously strengthen this position. By supporting the top-placed teams in the SP10 class, we want to create an additional incentive for sporting competition and directly support the teams.”

International Stage: Recognition by the SRO Motorsports Group

In addition to the Goodyear sponsorship package, the SP10 champions can expect a special level of international recognition. Since the class strictly adheres to the globally successful GT4 regulations, the SP10 champions will once again be invited to the official SRO awards ceremony this year. The SRO Motorsports Group, the organization behind the GT4 concept, thus recognizes the outstanding performance on the Nordschleife as part of its celebratory gala. For the teams, this means being honored on the same stage where the winners of the major international GT4 series are crowned – a distinction that further underscores the sporting prestige of the SP10 within the NLS.

The ADAC RAVENOL NLS kicks off its anniversary season on March 14, 2026, with the grand opening race at NLS1. Tickets for all races are already available in advance starting at €25.
