After the fourth race of the TMG GT86 Cup, part of the VLN endurance racing championship, there is a change in the lead of the overall classification. In the heat of the weekend on 20 July, Dörr Motorsport dominated the action. For the 53rd ADAC Reinoldus endurance race, which was a qualifying round of the Make Cup, driver Arne Hoffmeister (Lutter/ Germany) was supported by two guest drivers, Rudi Adams (Ahütte/ Germany) and Arno Klasen (Karlshausen/ Germany) who shared the cockpit with Arne. The driver trio with start number 533 made the pace right from the beginning and first won the qualifying and then also the race. With a total time of 4:04:41,446 the GT86 CS-V3 finally finished with an advance of almost three minutes ahead of the chasing group which was led by car number 536 driven by Theo Kleen (Wiesemscheid/ Germany) and Alexander Prinz (Cologne).

Team manager Rainer Dörr: „We are really happy about this fantastic result. And I am always exited about the series because the cars are running without any problems despite their excellent and high performance.”

Into third place finished again Arne Hoffmeister who shared another GT86 CS-V3 with number 534 with Fabian Wrabetz (Bad Soden/ Germany) and Thomas Bolz (Bottrop/ Germany). The second race car entered by Dörr Motorsport could score another highlight as the driver trio completed the fastest race lap at the Nordschleife with a time of 9:59,918 minutes and an average speed of 146.168 kph.

Nico Ehlert, Chief Engineer Customer Motorsport at TMG: “The last race once again showed the strength of this make cup. Thanks to identical and above all reliable technology, it is the drivers’ skill which decides on the great number of changes in the positions during the race. I am really delighted that during the current season we have been able to attract new drivers for the cup. This is why we have already now decided to extend the TMG GT86 Cup for another two years, that is until 2015.”

The last race weekend did not run perfectly for the previous leaders in the drivers’ championship. Jutta Beisiegel (Kaiserslautern/ Germany) and Alexander Kudrass (Lohmar/ Germany), who shared the cockpit together with Wolfgang Kudrass (Lohmar/ Germany) and Martin Tschornia (Bestwig/ Germany) with in car number 530 took the chequered flag in fourth position. The overall standings now show Jutta Beisiegel and Alexander Kudrass both into second place. The new leader is Arne Hoffmeister, but separated by only 20 points, his competitors following closely with 19.92 points and there are still six races to go.
