VLN prepares for the 2025 racing season

The VLN has signed a contract with the Nürburgring race track operator for the 2025 season of the ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie. The agreement covers eight event weekends. The complete endurance racing calendar and race distances will be announced at a later date. The VLN is also repositioning itself in important positions.

At a shareholders’ meeting prior to NLS4, the VLN decided on internal restructuring measures to further equip the ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie for the future. As a result, Steffen Jungbluth has been promoted to the management of the VLN as head of the office and authorized signatory. The 31-year-old tax assistant from Rheinbrohl has been associated with the VLN for many years as a long-standing member and 1st chairman of MSC Sinzig and has already made an important contribution to keeping the NLS in calm waters as assistant to the management in the past year.

“We are very happy that we were able to set the course for the coming season at an early stage this year after last winter’s impasse caused by the race track operator, which did a lot of damage to the sport and the entire region,” says Jungbluth. ”Now that there is certainty that we will be able to host events in 2025, we will finalize our plans. This includes intensive discussions with various stakeholders. We are confident that we will soon be able to present a well-founded and conceptually well thought-out endurance racing calendar for 2025.”

Another change is that in future, the entire controlling of the series will be handled by the VLN office and no longer by the organizing clubs. “The VLN shareholders will continue to play a major role in the NLS. They are an important part of the DNA of our series and will remain the solid basis of the organization,” says VLN Managing Director Mike Jäger. “From an organizational point of view, however, it is an important step to organize the entire controlling centrally in the future. This has many advantages, both for our participants and for ourselves. It is important to bundle the areas of finance and strategic orientation.”

The next event in the ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie is scheduled for October 19. The 55th Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy will cover the usual distance of four hours. Tickets are available at vln.de/tickets from 22 euros – youngsters up to 14 years have free entry.
