Victory for Rowe Racing at the sixth VLN race

Rowe Racing wins at the sixth round of the VLN endurance racing championship. The racing team which is based in Worms/ Rhineland-Palatinate convinced with a perfect performance throughout the complete race day. In the morning already, the driver duo Klaus Graf and Christian Hohenadel gained pole position with their time of 8:02,804 minutes. Afterwards, in the four hour race, the Rowe Racing SLS AMG GT3 with start number 7 quickly moved away and clearly dominated the field which figured almost 160 cars.

Start driver Hohenadel lost two positions in the first corner after the race start but managed to go back into the lead quickly. The SLS then continuously moved away from its rivals during the race and finished with an advance of 1:11,682 minutes. The pit stops were completed without any problem and the gullwing SLS had a perfect set-up. The driver duo Graf / Hohenadel completed the race in a superior manner and won convincingly. They took the chequered flag after 28 laps as fastest of the four SLS AMG GT3.

Team manager Hans-Peter Naundorf: “That was a completely perfect race weekend for us. After all our good performances recently, the racing gods today looked favourably upon us and finally made us finishing on the podium again. Today, everyone in our team has again demonstrated their skills. The foundation for the success was laid by Klaus with a brilliant pole position lap in the qualifying, Christian once again managed the tricky situations after the race start superiorly and was in first position when he handed over the car to his team mate just before half-time. Our team has every reason today to celebrate it has been performing so well already during the complete season so far. We will start again here in two weeks’ time and we definitely wish to defend our last years’ successes at the 6h Race. And we are very confident as today’s rehearsal worked out well.”
