Michele Di Martino (DE) and Moritz Oberheim (DE) in their BMW M235i Racing with start number 687 have won their class CUP5 at the fifth round of the VLN endurance racing championship at the Nürburgring in Germany. After the four hours race duration, the driver duo of the Team TKS-Motorsport had an advance of 1:16 minutes ahead of Ralf Schall (DE) and Mario Merten (DE) entered by the Team Bonk Motorsport. Into third place in the BMW M235i Racing Cup class finished Dennis Wüsthoff (DE) and Benjamin Leuchter (DE) of the team racing one. With their second place, Schall and Merten gained some ground in the drivers’ classification on the leaders Jörg Weidinger (DE), Michael Schrey (DE) and Uwe Ebertz (DE) who finished fourth on Saturday in their “Eifelblitz” entered by the team Scheid-Honert Motorsport. Their gap behind the leaders is now reduced to only two points.
