RTR started the motorsport season 2015 with a spectacular season-opener. The racing programme was presented at the “season opening” on Friday evening before the first VLN test and set-up session. The cars, drivers and the team were presented in the presence of many guests from the media scene, from trade and industry, politics and sport. The breath-taking show provided by the Red Bull X-Fighters and the interesting lectures given by Jörg Binnenbrücker, Marc Hennerici as well as Martin Tomczyk provided additional highlights of the event.
To be successful in motorsport and to gain strong partners, it is getting more and more important to stand out from the mass of racing teams. Since a long time already, the sporting success alone it no longer sufficient to put in place an engagement in national and international motorsport and to gain major makes.
Since its foundation, the team of RTR approaches the subject “racing” in a very particular manner. Whether this concerns the spectacular appearance at the circuit including extraordinary car designs, the integration of well-known brands or the media coverage of the overall engagement – RTR creates presence unlike any other in endurance racing around the Nürburgring.
And the RTR season opening event represents this unique feature of RTR exactly. In the presence of many invited guests, Jörg Binnenbrücker, Iris Capnamic Management GmbH Managing Director, gave a lecture on motorsport events as a tool for customer loyalty and customer recruitment. DTM driver Martin Tomczyk as well as motorcycle racing driver and Eurosport expert Alex Hofmann explained brand activation using the example of the intensive co-operation with Red Bull within the framework of DTM and MotoGP. In an interview with Lars Gutsche, Marc Hennerici, RTR driver and Head of the ADAC Mittelrhein Sports Department, illustrated the uniqueness of the VLN endurance racing championship and of the 24h Race at the Nürburgring.
Lars Gutsche, VLN track moderator, presented the event throughout the whole evening and thus presented the 2015 sporting programme as well as the complete RTR team. This year, RTR will enter at least three Porsche 911 Cup race cars in all VLN races and in the 24h Race. In class SP7, the worldpeace-Porsche 997 GT3 of Alex Autumn and Dominik Brinkmann will fight for points in their class. The crew in the Rewe-Porsche 977 GT3 driven by Jens Esser, Ercan Kara Osman and Kris Cools will pursue that same target, whereas Marc Hennerici and Niclas Kentenich will compete in a brand-new 911 model in the class of Porsche Carrera Cup vehicles where victories are definitely expected here, just as top 10 results in the phalanx of the GT3 works cars.
Following the team presentation, the Red Bull X-Fighters around the best German motocross rookie Luc Ackermann presented a breath-taking show on the premises of RTR raceunion© Teichmann Racing. With the demanding and spectacular stunts and jumps up to cliff hangers and backflips, the motorcycle champions created a supreme mood before the discussions started on the events seen and heard so far in a relaxed atmosphere.
