The Team HCB Group with team manager Fabian Plentz, which has so far successfully competed in the category of sports cars prototypes, will now for the first time join the VLN endurance racing championship Nürburgring. They will enter a BMW M235i Racing Cup in the VLN series.
The team has scored many successful results at international racing series in the category of prototype sports cars. Now, Fabian Plentz and his team wish to demonstrate their competitiveness in the category of touring cars. The target of the Team HCB Group together with their partner Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente is to establish a programme for young drivers and to prepare young talented drivers to start a professional career in motorsport.
Team manager Fabian Plentz has been successful in the past years as chief instructor of the Volkswagen Scirocco R Cup and since two years he is also looking after the Volkswagen Golf Cup as chief instructor. “I am really looking forward to the new challenge and to the possibility to introduce young drivers into professional racing”, says Fabian Plentz. “The BMW 235i Racing Cup hereby provides a very appealing value for money.” With this specific Cup, BMW has created an interesting stage for their customers to perform at the “green hell”.
The long-term strategy of the Team HCB Group also includes the participation in GT sports. “We intend to use this season as a preparation for an even bigger involvement in the category of touring cars in the season 2016. Thus, we wish to bind the young drivers to the team and to jointly plan and implement their career on a long-term basis”, explains Fabian Plentz.
