At the VLN season finale, BMW Motorsport junior Jesse Krohn and his fellow countryman Matias Henkola have celebrated the first victory for the Team MPB Racing in the BMW M235i Racing Cup class. After about three hours race time, the driver duo in the BMW M235i Racing with start number 686 had an advantage of 5.6 seconds ahead of Emin Akata and Michael Schrey of the Team Walkenhorst Motorsport.
This second place was enough for Akata and Schrey to secure second position in the drivers’ championship, behind the already previously determined champions Daniel Zils, Uwe Ebertz and Norbert Fischer. The driver trio of the Team Adrenalin Motorsport had to retire in this last race. In third place at the 39th DMV Münsterlandpokal finished Friedhelm Mihm, Heiko Eichenberg and Thomas Jäger of the Team Sorg Rennsport.
