The VLN endurance racing championship Nürburgring had a brilliant start last weekend into the new season. And this year again, SPORT1 has entered into a co-operation with the VLN. The German Free-TV channel will broadcast 30 minutes summaries of each of the ten rounds. The broadcasts are scheduled to be shown on each Saturday of the week following the races.
\”We are really happy to have a reliable TV partner with SPORT1 this year again at our side \”, says Karl Mauer, VLN Member of the Board for Marketing and Media. \”The broadcasts are partly scheduled to run very close to the Formula 1 and MotoGP so that motor sport enthusiasts – and this is what our true fans finally are – will get a real kick.\”
SPORT1 Managing Director Olaf Schröder adds: \”The VLN endurance racing championship Nürburgring is an important element in our motor sport coverage – in addition to our core rights, the three \’top classes\’ Formula 1, MotoGP and WRC. Due to the excellent motor sport activity in the series provided at the \’Green Hell\’ ten times a year, it enjoys a high reputation not only with the insiders and thus fits perfectly in our programme portfolio.\”
In addition to exhaustive summaries, SPORT1 promotes the VLN also with 30 seconds trailers before the first run. All highlight broadcasts will furthermore be repeated twice in the pay-TV channel SPORT1+ and can be viewed online in the media centre of SPORT1.de.
