Right at the start of the 2014 season in the VLN endurance racing championship Nürburgring, the team of GetSpeed had multiple reason to celebrate. After the pole position in the group of Porsche Carrera Cup vehicles, Steve Jans, Christopher Mies and Adam Osieka again finished in the top ten and scored a victory in the class and in the group of the Cup vehicles.

After many night shifts in the GetSpeed Performance Centre, the whole team was so happy that the Porsche 911 GT3 was ready in time to compete again in the qualification practice of the first VLN round. After an accident at the test and set-up session in the previous week, the mechanics had work very hard to repair the car for the start of the season. The thanks of the drivers for the fantastic work of the crew then was the pole position in the group of the Cup vehicles.

In the bright sunshine and in front of the crowded spectator areas at the Nordschleife, Audi works driver Christopher Mies was able to confirm their leading position after the start of the race without any problems and dominated the class right away. But the target of the young race driver from Heiligenhausen/ Germany was not only to gain the first position in the Porsche championship but also to leave behind as many cars of the more powerful classes as possible.

After a fireworks of Mies over one and a half stint, Steve Jans took over the steering wheel as class leader and in a promising overall position. The talented race driver from Luxembourg continued to show an excellent performance and increased the advance of the team in the GetSpeed Porsche.

GetSpeed team manager Adam Osieka took over the last stint and confirmed the final position of the nine-eleven in the top ten. When the chequered flag came out, the team around the GetSpeed Performance Centre which is based in the industrial park Nürburgring at Meuspath was shown in ninth place.

GetSpeed could thus follow up their very successful results of last year right at the opening round of the current season. For the year 2014, the declared target of the team consequently again is to gain the title in the group of the Porsche Carrera Cup vehicles.
