After a season which was full of ups and downs, the racing team which is based in Germany’s region of the Westerwald is ready to start the 2014 season with new drive. After a rollover last year and some previous accidents the mat black racing car was no longer able to compete in races and the team around Jürgen Alzen thus decided to prepare a new car for the new season.
Some power units such as engine / gearbox and the „interior“ parts of last year’s car could be reused. After the change of the rules in the last season and the subsequent modifications carried out on the car and last but not least due to the knowhow contribution from Dunlop as a very reliable tyre partner, the team had shown some promising performances. Start positions amongst the top ten caused quite some attention with the competitors. The car was found in top places during the races and could have finished on the podium a few times had 6 collisions with other competitors not spoiled these promising results.
There will not be too many changes for the season 2014. „Jürgen-Alzen-Motorsport“ will be able to present H&R as main sponsor. The other previous sponsors have also confirmed their continuing support. After the successes in the past season, Dunlop will also extend their co-operation with the team. Almost the complete crew team will furthermore remain part of the team. Only the contracts with the drivers remain to be finalised but this point will be completed shortly.
Not to forget, there will be one major change. The race car will no longer join this year’s events in its black mat configuration. The new Ford GT will now be presented in a noble black and highly polished painting which was prepared by the company Bröker from Siegen. The final colour design remains to be decided and will of course depend from possible additional and new sponsors.
