BMW Motorsport has honoured the most successful participants in the BMW Sports Trophy for the 52nd time on Saturday. The ceremony took place in the BMW World double cone in Munich where BMW Motor Sport Director Jens Marquardt, supported by the long year BMW driver Alessandro Zanardi, awarded the trophies to the most successful BMW private drivers. Best VLN driver was Jörg Weidinger into an excellent fifth place. For the first time, the best BMW private teams received prizes as well. In this category, Adrenalin Motorsport from the VLN came into third place.
„The new team classification turned out to be a fantastic success right in ist first year and was very much appreciated by our privateers“, said Marquardt. “BMW Motorsport is well award of the great significance of its ambassadors all over the world. It is accordingly important for us to be able to now also honour the teams at the end of the season in addition to the drivers in the 52nd year of the BMW Sports Trophy.
