The VLN endurance racing championship will join the Essen Motor Show from 30th November to 8th December. The popular grassroots series will be presented as usual in hall 6.0 at the two stands A100 and B100. In addition to the huge info stand, at which a number of racing cars can be inspected from close by, the fan shop will offer a broad selection of merchandising articles all around the VLN. Amongst the most current and new products are a DVD with a summary of the season and the VLN Yearbook 2013. Action will furthermore be provided by the VLN teams in the Motorsport Arena in Hall 7.
“The Essen Motor Show traditionally concludes the motor sport year and has furthermore become a very important event for us”, says VLN Chairman Rolf Krimpmann. “After the season is before the season and we will this again announce a number of new points for the upcoming year 2014. All the fans and participants are more than welcome to come and see us in Essen.”
Various cars will be shown at the VLN stand. In addition to the Renault Clio Cup, in which the Groneck brothers took the championship title, the Falken-Porsche 911 GT3 R, a Lexus IS-F of the team ring racing and the Audi TT RS 2.0 of Raeder Motorsport, the two successful Cup racers Opel Astra OPC and Toyota TMG GT86 should of course not be missing, too.
Many VLN teams will join the action in the Motorsport Arena. Each day around noon, starting from 11:30hrs, the VLN drivers will present their driving skills. Anyone wishing to experience a very special kick should take part in the prize draw and will perhaps win a ride in the racing taxi at the Arena. And even though the indoor track is more or less the opposite of the Nürburgring Nordschleife – a proper adrenaline rush can definitely be guaranteed.
