TOYOTA Motorsport GmbH (TMG) is pleased to announce that the successful TMG GT86 Cup will also be organised in 2014 and 2015. After the great excitement and the enthusiasm with which both participants and fans followed the first season in 2013, an extension over another two years seems well possible. The TMG GT86 Cup is a customised competition exclusively designed for race cars of the type GT86 CS-V3.
Even though the car allows for a cost-effective start in racing, it provided exciting racing within the Nürburgring VLN series right from the beginning. Another benefit of the series is the professional support on and off the track.
Furthermore, drivers and teams benefit from attractive prizes totalling €50,000 in the year 2013 and special offers for spare parts. The low registration fees already include a number of items with the Cup log and allow for an exclusive access to the TMG Technical Centre in Cologne.
The sophisticated supply infrastructure at the track includes a complete spare part and tyre service as well as an on-site office of the Cup Organisation which ensures that the participants can compete with their GT86 Cs-V3 race car most effectively and smoothly.
On the track, the GT86 CS-V3 has already proved during the first half of the season that it is most competitive and reliable even at the demanding Nürburgring Nordschleife. The Toyota Swiss Racing Team could thus defend their title in class V3 at the 24 Hour Race and the participants in the TMG GT86 Cup succeeded in completing a lap at the Nordschleife in less than 10 minutes.
Even though the Nürburgring 24 Hour Race is not part of the Cup calendar, the support infrastructure will again be provided in 2014 and in 2015. This should give the participants the best chance again to fight for a win in class V3 at one of the biggest races in Europe.
