Curtain up for the final test: With the second VLN round to take place next weekend, the programme of ROWE RACING faces the final test for the highlight of the season, the 24 Hour Race. On account of the short time period for the preparation due to the late snow, a great importance is attached to the race at the legendary Nordschleife.

„With two top ten positions, we had a brilliant start into the new season and we wish to confirm our good performance next weekend. Now, as we are rather disadvantaged with the “Balance of Performance” classification compared to last year, it is of great significance to develop a perfect setup in this race to be ready for the 24h Race”, informs team manager Hans-Peter Naundorf.

Like at the first VLN round 2013, ROWE RACING has again entered three SLS AMG GT3 for next weekend. The racing team based at Bubenheim/ Germany will compete in the four hour race with the following crews in the gullwing race cars: The car with start number six will be driven by Marko Hartung (Wallroda/ Germany), Roland Rehfeld (Blankenfelde/ Germany), Mark Bullitt (Miami/USA) and Michael Zehe (Flörsheim-Dalsheim/ Germany). The steering wheel in the gullwing car with number seven will be shared amongst Thomas Jäger (Munich), Klaus Graf (Dornhan/ Germany), Kenneth Heyer (Mönchengladbach/ Germany) and Nico Bastian (Frankfurt/ Germany). Former ski-jump star Sven Hannawald (Munich) in the car with number 21 will be supported by Thorsten Drewes (Bispingen/ Germany) as well as Lance David Arnold (Duisburg/ Germany).

One ROWE RACING vehicle will start as DUNLOP ART CAR
An extraordinary attraction will be provided by the SLS AMG GT3 with start number seven. It will compete at the Nürburgring as official DUNLOP ART CAR. The gullwing race car will take part in the next VLN round as well as at the Nürburgring 24 Hour Race in this particular design to celebrate the 125 jubilee of the tyre manufacturer and ROWE RACING development partner. Hans-Peter Naundorf: „We are very proud that we are able to send one of our cars as ART CAR onto the track. The design was developed by the fans – so we are looking forward to an even increased support from the spectator areas.”

The 55th ADAC ACAS H&R-Cup is the second of nine rounds in total counting for the VLN endurance racing championship at the Nürburgring. The race over four hours provides the last test for many teams in preparation of the 41st ADAC Zurich 24-Hour-Race which will take place in a little less than three weeks time (17 – 20 May 2013). The VLN series will then be resumed with the 44th Adenauer ADAC Simfy Trophy (22 June 2013).
