A tradition continues: This weekend sees Schubert Motorsport’s team contest the 24 Hour race in Dubai (AE) for the seventh time. In 2011 the team based in the motorsport town of Oschersleben won this marathon in the desert. As per last year, Schubert will co-operate with the Saudi Falcons, the strongest sports car team in the Middle East, and has entered two BMW Z4 GT3s in the A6 Class for GT3 sports cars under the Saudi Falcons Team Schubert banner.
Dirk Adorf (DE), Dominik Baumann (AT), Dominik Schwager (DE), Abdulaziz AIFaisal (SA) and Faisal Binladen (SA) will alternate driving duties in the number 12 car, while the two Saudi Arabians will also compete in the sister number 24 car, sharing it with Claudia Hürtgen, Jörg Müller and Dirk Müller (all DE).
An all-female crew driving the number 121 BMW 320d has also been entered by Schubert under the Racing Divas Team Schubert banner, with the Netherlands quintet of Liesette Braams, Sheila Verschuur, Gaby Uljee, Paulien Zwart and Sandra van der Sloot driving the car in the A3T Class for cars up to 2000cc.
