“If you wish to push your limits during the 24 Hour Race at the Nürburgring Nordschleife or to even go beyond, there is only one way, a perfect preparation”, this is the slogan of ROWE RACING team manager Hans-Peter Naundorf. For the team of the lubricant manufacturer which is based in Bubenheim/ Germany, the focus in the the next VLN round this Saturday (28 April 2012) will hence lie in the final preparation and fine tuning for the highlight of the season.
ROWE RACING will hereby continue to rely on the successful mixture of experience, speed and talent, in nominating their drivers for the two Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3. The car with start number 7 will be driven by former DTM driver Thomas Jäger (Munich), by Trans-Am-Champion Klaus Graf (Dornhan/ Germany) and the young Porsche Carrera Cup vice champion Jan Seyffarth (Querfurt/ Germany). The team in the sister car with number 9 will be made up to Michael Zehe (Flörsheim-Dalsheim/ Germany), Marko Hartung (Wallroda/ Germany), Roland Rehfeld (Blankenfelde/ Germany) and Mark Bullitt (Miami/USA).
” We are completely on schedule with the preparations for the 24 Hour Race. We succeeded in finishing both of our cars in the top ten at the last VLN race under extremely difficult weather conditions. All the basics are fine, the point now is to further work on technical details so that we will be able to show a constant performance throughout the 24 hour race distance. I this regard we nevertheless really hope very much that the »Balance of Performance« will still be modified as the SLS race cars still have a clear disadvantage in performance”, informs team manager Hans-Peter Naundorf. “I am however very happy that all the team members – drivers, mechanics, engineers – harmonise much better from race to race. An important factor which cannot be controlled even if you have achieved the highest possible technical level.”
The 54th ADAC ACAS H&R-Cup is the third of ten rounds in total in this year’s VLN endurance racing championship Nürburgring. The race which is scheduled to run over four hours represents the final test for the 40th ADAC Zurich 24 Hour Race to take place in less than three weeks time (17 – 20 may 2012). The VLN series will then be resumed on30th June 2012 with the 43rd Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy.
