The preparations for the motor sport season 2012 at the premises of Vulkan-Racing-Mintgen-Motorsport are running at full speed. In 2012, Michael Mintgen and his team will again completely focus on the VLN endurance racing championship at the Nürburgring.
In only a little more than two weeks times, the new season will start again. Michael Mintgen and his team are currently preparing the race cars for the first VLN race. The team which is based in Mayen will this year again compete in the endurance racing championship with the quick Renault Clio driven by Karl Brinker. Last season already, Vulka-Racing-Mintgen-Motorsport had entered the Clio and took care of the further technical development of the car which turned out to be very successful. Karl Brinker (Herne/Germany) was always amongst the top teams in his class SP3. “We wish to restart exactly from that point. We intend to further improve the Renault Clio. Motor sport in this class is on a much higher level that many would assume. This year, we wish to score successful results as well which we couldn’t manage last year”, said Michael Mintgen. The Renault Megane RS driven by “Axel Linther” (Korschenbroich/ Germany) and “Don Draper”, too, will be entered by the team of Vulkan-Racing-Mintgen-Motorsport.
