All beginnings are difficult, and there is no doubt that this slogan applies to the beginning of a career in motor sports as well. Under the heading “VLN Junior Challenge – Speed Date 2012”, the PROsport Performance GmbH, together with the VLN, will start a promotional project for youngsters this year at the VLN endurance racing championship Nürburgring.
All interested young drivers which are between 18 and 25 years old and are eligible to get a driver licence grade A are requested to send their applications until 19th of February. A group of 20 young drivers will be invited to the legendary Nürburgring for a shoot-out to take place end of February when a selection will be made by a jury composed of PROsport Performance GmbH and VLN staff members. The applicants will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their talents on the race track and two teams will be appointed to contest their first race in the VLN season on 31st March 2012 already with a low participation in the costs.
PROsport Performance GmbH will provide two 270 HP strong Seat Supercopa race cars and the main part of this promotion for young drivers will of course take place in a race car at the Nordschleife. The drivers will also get some training in the fields of team organisation and management. The top two drivers of the season 2012 will then have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills one year later in a high-performance race car provided by PROsport and show what they have learned.
