“Our target is definitely to finish on the podium in the Porsche Cup class!” Porsche driver Thomas Messer and his team of Messer Motorsport have set the crew a high target for the fourth round of the VLN endurance racing series to take place next Saturday (28 May).

The high target set by the race driver from Neu-Anspach/ German for his team is well-founded by the running of the previous races. At the opening round of the season, the class win was already within reach when they retired in the last lap. Three weeks later, at the second round, the real estate agent, together with Martin Ragginger, then succeeded in finishing into second position and on the podium with his rebuilt Supercup Porsche 997 GT3 in the again very strong class of Porsche Cup race cars.

A brilliant team mate with Uwe Alzen to join the team
For the 53rd ADAC ACAS H&R Cup race, Thomas Messer has invited his good old friend Uwe Alzen, a true expert at the Nordschleife and also in driving Porsche race cars, to join him in the cockpit of the 997. “I am really looking forward to racing with Uwe”, says Thomas Messer in view of the fourth VLN race. “It is fantastic that he found the time to join me for the Nürburgring race despite his engagement in the Porsche Carrera Cup and for BMW. We are very well prepared for the race and our expectations for Saturday are quite high.” The fourth of ten VLN races will start at 12:00hrs on Saturday and run over the distance of four hours. The fight for the best positions on the grid will take place between 08:30 and 10:00hrs.
