After a period of about half a year of renovation, the Historic Paddocks at the Nürburgring were reopened during the second round of the VLN endurance racing series. Assisted by the racing legends Hans Herrmann and Erich Zakowski, Kai Richter and Jörg Lindner of the Nürburgring Automotive GmbH cut the red ribbon.
“It is not simply the question to jump on the bandwagon of history, you must also know where the journey is going to take you”, quoted Richter the former EU Commissioner Edith Cresson in his opening speech and he added: “We have built an appropriate train station for this train and this set an example that historic motorsport will continue to play an important role at the Nürburgring also in future.”
