The Team Black Falcon had an absolutely perfect start of the VLN season 2011 at the 58th ADAC Westfalenfahrt. They achieved third position overall and won their group of VLN Specials, became furthermore fastest GT3 race car – the Black Falcon SLS AMG GT3 with drivers Kenneth Heyer, Jeroen Bleekemolen, Jan Seyffarth and Thomas Jäger scored the best result of the day within the Falken team.
The second Black Falcon SLS AMG GT3, too, driven by Ralf Schall, Andrii Lebed and Hannes Plesse finished into the top ten with an excellent seventh place. The third SLS AMG GT3 in the team, a customer car entered by Black Falcon and driven by Vimal Mehta, Sean Breslin and Sean Paul Breslin, finished into the top 20 of the VLN overall classification.
A fantastic race had also the Black Falcon team TMD Friction. This team, which is named after the brake disc manufacturer TMD, has now joined Black Falcon: Three out of four entered cars straightaway won their respective class. In addition to a victory in group H, they also scored a win in the group of VLN standard production cars.
Class win for the father and son team of Andreas and Ralf Schall together with Michael Bäder in class H3, victory in class V6 for the BMW M3 E46 driven by Oleg Volin, Sean Paul Breslin and Philipp Leisen and the first victory for the juniors Carsten Knechtges, Tim Scheerbarth and Manuel Metzger with their BMW Z4 in class V5.
Last but not least, with Hans Dampf, Christian Raubach and Robert Renauer, two VLN newcomer plus one really experienced driver crossed the finish line into 9th position in class V5. All of the seven cars finished the race. The best team result in the still young team history and furthermore a launch of the VLN season with a full grid and great summer weather – a perfect race day at the Nürburgring!
