The HaRo Racing Team of Düchting-Motorsport achieved its best result so far in the current season at the ninth round of the VLN Langstreckenmeisterschaft. Maximilian Hackländer (Rüthen/ Germany) and Heiner Immig (Paderborn/ Germany) finished in their Seat Leon Supercopa into second place of the very competitive class SP3T and even achieved a brilliant 15th place overall.
Once again, the continuous development work on the Seat Leon of Düchting-Motorsport has paid out: Whilst they had previously been using a standard fuel tank with a capacity of 60 litres, it was now completed by an additional tank to achieve a total capacity of 100 litres. This reduced the number of necessary put stops from four to only two. After a revision of the aerodynamics, the car is now much more solid and the handling much easier – which was of great advantage under these adverse weather conditions prevailing last weekend. The times and the results during the season demonstrate the continuous improvement in performance.
Not for nothing is youngster Maximilian Hackländer in the Supercopa getting quicker and quicker from race to race. Meanwhile he knows the Nürburgring Nordschleife better and better and gets on with the front wheel drive pretty well now. Due to his result achieved last weekend, he was able to further assure his second position in the Seat endurance race challenge.
