H&R Competition Springs extends its cooperation with the VLN Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring. The suspension expert based in Lennestadt has thus used the option for the year 2011 as stipulated in the contract concluded in the year 2008 at an early stage. H&R sport springs has been engaged in the endurance racing championship since 2003 and is thus, together with the media partner “sport auto”, the longest-time sponsor of this most popular endurance racing series in Europe. In the first two years, the company logo was displayed on the windscreen and since 2005, it is shown on the number plate board of all cars.
“We have realized very early already that the VLN Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring represents an excellent field of activity for our company”, informs Hardy von der Brake, H&R Head of Marketing. “The series has had a fantastic development in the last years and is thus still a perfect basis for sponsoring. Considering our cooperation up to now, we are very interested in integrating the VLN into our marketing activities as long-term concept.”
H&R suspension components offer high tech and sporting performance for more than 1000 vehicle types. In addition, H&R is the series supplier for all GT2 and GT3 Porsche models. The secret to success is the transfer of technology from international motor sport competitions into the development of innovative suspension components for street-driven cars. In the season 2010, H&R is for the tenth successive year the supplier of the DTM teams of Mercedes. And together with BMW Motorsport, H&R celebrated the victory of the BMW M3 GT2 at the 24h Race Nürburgring. Due to the extremely high dynamic load applied on the suspension elements in competition, the material used is tremendously put under stress. The test of new materials and manufacturing technologies is possible at high speed. The experience gained here are directly integrated in the development and production of springs, shock absorbers, stabilizers, track extension as well as competition and coil-over kits for street driven cars. The result of these efforts can be experienced by each and every sporting driver himself. Suspension components “Made by H&R” are highly appreciated in the international specialized press and by customers all over the world.
