With the SLS AMG GT3, AMG this week presented a new and very spectacular GT3 racing sport car. According to the statement of our colleague of the specialized magazine ‚Speed Week‘, its participation in the VLN Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring is decided. It is supposed that the SLS racing car will start for the first time in the ‚Green Hell‘ at three races in autumn.

The SLS AMG GT3 is the consequent continuation of AMG\’s commitment to motor sports. Ever since its foundation in 1967, AMG has been a pioneer in motor sports. The new racing version of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is developed and produced by AMG in close cooperation with HWA AG. HWA is responsible for the DTM racing team on behalf of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport. The HWA team is one of the most successful teams in international motor sports, as is confirmed by nine driver championship titles in the DTM and ITC, as well as two championship titles in the FIA GT Championship.
