Eleven times Nordschleife for Kurt Thiim

The season is approaching quickly and Kurt Thiim knows by now which steering wheels will be his ones for the season 2010. With a consistent programme and a very sophisticated race car, the prospects of success are very promising.

Last year, former DTM driver Kurt Thiim appeared rarely at the Nürburgring Nordschleife for the races of this endurance racing championship. This will change in the current year. He will compete in eleven races at his favourite circuit in the Eifel region. He appreciates this track in particular as the drivers must now as before go to their limits and it is extremely demanding in terms of physical condition and also technically.

Kurt Thiim will start at all the VLN races with a Seat Leon Supercopa MKII, entered by the Team PROsport with team manager Christoph Esser, in the very competitive class SP3T. This is the car with which his son Nicky has already won the championship of the Seat Leon Supercopa, a supporting event of the DTM.

“I consider the Seat Leon to be a very good race car after it has been available as cup car now for several years already. With Tom Schwister, my former colleague in the V8 STAR, I will also have a really good and quick partner. The mechanics from PROsport know the car well; all together the package looks very promising. We will now only also need a little bit of luck”, explains Kurt Thiim before the start of the season.

On occasion of the 24h Race, Kurt Thiim will continue the programme with RJN and the Nissan 370Z and hopes that he can now finally reap the fruit of his labour of the past years.
