The racing sport team “Drive-a-Racecar” which was created in 2009 will enter three Renault Cup Clio in the 2010 season of the VLN endurance racing championship Nürburgring. The 24h Race in contrast will be contested with the Astra Turbo in class SP3T.
The value for money as well as the attendance on-site provided by Renault are unbeatable so that the decision to count on the Clio race cars this year again was taken very quickly
The team has not only made a big step forwards with regard to technical improvements, the aim of the new composition of crews with the Junior Team Malte Tack and Manuel Passberger this year goes further than simply to gain some experience. The seniors in the team like Werner Gloyna and Michael Trick will start in the rounds of the endurance racing championship this year together in a team.
The last weeks before the first test and set-up session on 20th March will thus be used to carry out last adjustments to man and machine. To be of most interest hereby are modifications on the suspension and the optimisation of weight. Or, as no one would probably be able to express it more precisely: „Racing is life! Anything that happens before or after is just waiting!\\\” (Steve McQueen)
The “Drive-a-Racecar” team of 16 members – under the direction of Werner Gloyna and Michel Trick – is composed of experienced professionals in racing business who can not only look back onto own successes in racing and onto the long-time provision of racing service but they stand as well for technical expert knowledge.
