For 2010, the ‘deutsche motor sport jugend (dmsj)’, the body of the German ASN (Deutscher Motor Sport Bund DMSB) who is taking care of young beginners in motor sports, is planning the creation of a Youngster Racing Team in co-operation with its partners designated for this project, the Motorsport Akademie Nürburgring, the VLN endurance racing championship Nürburgring and the Circuit Racing Challenge (RCN + GLP). The dmsj and its partners will accompany and attend the youngsters intensively over a period of two years.
For the years 2010 and 2011, rounds of the Nürburgring Regularity Test Events (GLP), of the Circuit Racing Challenge (RCN) and of the VLN endurance races are on the calendar. The final target for the Youngster Racing Team is to compete successfully in the “ADAC 24h Race” at the Nürburgring.
The education includes theoretic and practical sections which are organised by instructors and by using cars of the Motorsport Akademie Nürburgring. End of March 2010, an advance screening over two days will be conducted at the Grand Prix Circuit by representatives of the dmsj and by instructors of the Motorsport Akademie Nürburgring. The participation in the two days screening is subject to the payment of a fee of 395 Euro for each participant. The confirmation issued by the Motorsport Akademie for the participation in the screening qualifies for the acquisition of a DMSB licence grade A (valid for participation in Europe).
Applications to become a member of Youngster Racing Team may be submitted in writing by E-Mail or by post to [email protected] or to DMSB e.V. / dmsj, Hahnstr.70, D-60528 Frankfurt, until 15th March 2010. To be eligible, all applicants must be born between 1990 and 1992 (must have reached their 18th birthday by end of March), be in possession of an automobile driver’s licence and have motor sport experience. The application must include a short statement on the motor sport experience gained so far and on the motivation for the application for the Youngster Racing Team.
