In time for the start of the Essen Motor Show, the calendar of the VLN Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring 2010 is set. Next season’s programme of this most popular endurance racing series in Europe will again include ten weekends of exciting motor sport at the most fascinating race track of the world – the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The 57th ADAC Westfalenfahrt to take place on 27th of March will be the opening round at the ‘green hell’. The unofficial start of the season will be given on week earlier already, on 20th March, with the VLN Test and Set-Up Session. The highlight of the season – the 6h ADAC Ruhr-Pokal-Rennen – is scheduled to take place on 31st July and the 35th DMV Münsterlandpokal, the final round, will conclude the 2010 season on 30th of October. As a special service for all the participants, the organising VLN invites on Friday before each race to a test and set-up session at the short version of the Grand Prix Circuit. This session which will be held between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. is however not exclusively reserved for the participants in the endurance racing championship. More information regarding the test and set-up sessions will soon be available on the official website www.nuerburgring-langstrecken-serie.de.
Right at the beginning of the year, the endurance racing family will meet at the annual celebratory prizegiving ceremony. The successful drivers of the season 2009 will be honoured on 16th of January at the Dorint Hotel Nürburgring. In addition to the official classifications of the championship, the drivers’ classification, the VLN Junior Trophy and the VLN Series Production Cup, the winners of the special classifications of Honda, Renault and Seat will also be awarded trophies and prizes.
