At the 41st ADAC Barbarossapreis, the WGB Racingteam achieved a position on the podium for the fourth time in eight races. In the timed practice already, it had become apparent that the modifications carried out during the last busy weeks had paid off, as Benjamin Sorg finished second in his class with the BMW 325i E92 Coupé, setting a time of 10:06 minutes. The two other drivers of the team, too, were very pleased with the suspension modifications.

After a turbulent start, Benjamin managed to set a new fastest time with 10:01 minutes and came into first position as the main rival had to proceed to a short, unscheduled pit stop. As the whole competitors in their class had to come to one pit stop only at mid-race, the team of the Westphalian swaging company Breckerfeld was shown into third position only after the change to Martin Gaus who comes from Wilnsdorf. The latter managed again to gain back second place in setting personal fastest lap times and increased the advance to more than three minutes. Daniel Sorg, too, achieved his personal fastest lap times in the last stint.

After four hours racing time, the whole team and the guests, who had the chance to get a ride in the race car the previous day, were more than happy about their second position. “The drivers wish to thank very much all the team members who have done a super job again and thus made our success possible”, said Sorg.
