Uwe Alzen and his team “Uwe Alzen Automotive” again achieved a fantastic result at the fifth round of the BFGoodrich Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring: At the end of the race, Uwe Alzen and Lance David Arnold won the Cup class and finished into an excellent third overall position.
The lap time of 8:27 minutes set by Uwe Alzen in his Porsche 997 Cup brought them into 6th position on the starting grid. The race was running without any problem for the team and Uwe Alzen together with his team mate Lance David Arnold was able to keep the other competitors under control with their Cup Porsche. After 23 laps driven at the limit and a total driving time of 3:26 hours, the matt black Haribo-Musicmonster Porsche took the chequered flag into third place.
The sister car, driven by Hans Guido Riegel and Mike Stursberg from Wermelskirchen, finished 9th in the Cup class and 19th overall after an impeccable race.
”The fact that we have shown such a fantastic performance in this race again demonstrates that our performance was not just a flash in the pan. Lance and I are really driving at our limits – we drive each lap like a fast qualifying lap”, informed Alzen. “But our efforts paid out again and I am already looking forward to the 6h race!”
