Due to an accident in lap twelve at the 40th Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy, the race which had been very promising till that moment ended for the GT4 Porsche driven by Karl-Heinz Teichmann and Michel Schneider.
The Porsche with Schneider behind the steering wheel went off the track in the section of “Kallenhard” and flew into a steep and wooded slope. The race had to be suspended as the recovery turned out to be quite tricky due to the difficult terrain. Fortunately, the race doctor established at the site of the accident already that the driver suffered no injuries.
“I wish to thank very much everyone who was involved in the recovery and who did a highly professional job under these difficult circumstances”, said Schneider. “The fact that I suffered no injuries at this heavy crash demonstrates in a more than impressive way the high safety standard of our race cars.”
