There was great excitement around the Nürburgring when more than 30 former DTM race cars came back again to the “Green Hell” to cover some demonstration laps during the weekend of the third round of the BFGoodrich Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring. The Touring Car Revival organised by the AC Altkreis Schwelm brought back memories of the eightieth and ninetieth when the race cars of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft competed in races at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

“An incredible feeling”, said Armin Hahne gladly, he drove a Ford Sierra Cosworth from the year 1988. “Unique race cars, so many colleagues from former times and all of this at the most beautiful race track of the world – the Touring Car Revival was an absolutely great experience.” There was not only great entertainment at the circuit, but also in the paddocks. The former DTM stars signed hundredth of photos during an autograph signing session on Friday. For two days, the thoroughly restored DTM cars were in the focus of the numerous visitors. The fantastic programme was completed by the presentation of more than 80 cars of the Mercedes-Benz W201 Club and of the Opel Evo Club.
