NLS livestream achieves record numbers on opening weekend

Racing in the Green Hell again at last! After the long winter break, not only the participants, but above all the fans of the ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie thought so. The livestreams of the two races of the double-header on 6 and 7 April achieved a total of 1,406,033 views. This is a record in the history of the traditional Nordschleife championship.

“We were already overwhelmed by the popularity and the positive feedback from our fans and participants during the race weekend,” says VLN boss Mike Jäger. “This trend is now continuing online. The views in the streams show that we did a lot of things right in terms of medialisation, public relations and marketing in the run-up to the season. Interest in the ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie is greater than ever before. We will continue on this path consistently.”

The strongest distribution channel was the YouTube presence of the NLS itself. It alone generated 526,667 views. The channels of Auto Addiction, the Nürburgring, driver and influencer Jimmy Broadbent, Mercedes-AMG and ADAC Motorsport also contributed significantly to the success. A total of 657,828 views were achieved with the race on Saturday, and 748,205 on Sunday. Compared to the previous year, races one and two have already equalled 36 percent of last year’s total of 3,883,807 views across nine races.

Six more races are on the programme for the 2024 season. Races three and four of the ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie will take place this weekend as part of the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers (13-14 April).
