The final driver line-up for the Red Bull Formula Nürburgring is set

Anticipation is rising because on 9 September 2023, the Red Bull Formula Nürburgring will present a festival for motorsport fans. More than 30,000 enthusiastic spectators will eagerly follow the breathtaking show runs of motorsport stars like Sebastian Vettel and Yuki Tsunoda. The driver line-up is now complete. Tickets for the NLS season highlight ’12h Nürburgring’ are available at nri.ng/12hredbull.

Due to a fractured metacarpal, Australian Daniel Ricciardo will unfortunately not be able to take part in the Red Bull Formula Nürburgring. 13-time Grand Prix winner David Coulthard will step in for him at short notice. Carrie Schreiner, one of Germany’s most promising female racing drivers, has also confirmed her participation and will complete the distinguished line-up. The young woman from the Saarland is the first German driver in the F1 Academy and she will impress the audience on the legendary Nordschleife twice: during the Red Bull Formula Nürburgring in her former Formula 4 car and during the two 6-hour races of the 12h Nürburgring in a BMW M4 GT3. Moreover, Jos Verstappen, who himself is a former Formula 1 driver and father of F1 champion Max Verstappen, will be driving on the circuit in the Müllenbachschleife.

“This will be a fantastic event for all motorsport fans and the feeling of driving on the legendary Nürburgring is simply beyond words,” says Carrie Schreiner.

The 4-hour motorsport programme promises to be a varied spectacle that will make the fans’ hearts beat faster. In addition to the F1 stars, the legends and stunt drivers already announced, spectators can look forward to a BMW driver field featuring Jens Klingmann (BMW M3 E30), Philipp Eng (BMW Z4 GT3), Leopold Prinz von Bayern (BMW M1 Pro Car) and Markus Flasch (BMW V12 LMR). The group of GT cars is completed by Bernhard Auinger (Porsche GT2 Clubsport RS), Patrick Friesacher (Toyota Nascar) and one of Germany’s best-known horsepower influencers Gercollector (McLaren Senna).

An action-packed programme for the spectators is planned during the half-time break of the showrun event: Stars of the half-time show are the already announced Red Bull Driftbrothers, Luc Ackermann, Matej Cesak, Davide Rossi, Aras Gibieža and Adrian Guggemos, who will perform spectacular drifts on the track with their vehicles or jump around the course with their bikes.
