Falken to enter two new Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) in 2023

Falken will return to the NLS and the Nürburgring 24h Race in 2023 with two new Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) and thus promises to deliver another action-packed season on the Nordschleife.

The new 911 GT3 R (992) will replace the previous Porsche 911 GT3 R (991.2) with which Falken has been competing since 2018 and can look back on numerous sporting achievements. Last season alone, Falken claimed several victories and podium finishes with the 991.2 model on the demanding Nürburgring Nordschleife, including two wins at the prestigious 12h Nürburgring and the ROWE 6h ADAC Ruhr-Pokal race.

The 2023 season will be the 13th for Falken as a Porsche customer team. Falken’s cooperation with the car manufacturer began in 2011 and has been extremely successful. In addition to strong results in the NLS (formerly VLN), Falken and Porsche have together achieved several positions in the top 10 at the Nürburgring 24h Race , including fourth place overall at the 2021 edition.

Although the two new 911 GT3 R (992) cars have not yet been delivered to Falken, the company already has experience with the new car. In October, Falken was selected as one of the first Porsche customer teams worldwide to compete with the car in the NLS 8.

“We are looking forward to returning to the Nordschleife in 2023 as a Porsche customer team and to compete with the 911 GT3 R,” says Stefanie Olbertz, responsible for motorsport at Falken Tyres Europe GmbH. “The new model is a big step forward in terms of performance and design. We can hardly wait to get onto the track with it and fight for victories throughout the NLS season and at the Nürburgring 24 Hours.”
