The Lexus of Ring Racing gets company

The exotics from the land of the rising sun will also be at the start of the races in the 2020 season of the Nürburgring Endurance Series. Ring Racing, together with Novel Racing, will this year enter a Toyota Supra GT4 in the SP10 class in addition to the well-known Lexus RC F in the SP8 class in the world’s largest motorsport championship. The two Japanese cars will compete in all nine races as well as in the 24-Hour Race at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

New this season for the team based in Boxberg, not far from the legendary race track, is the tyre manufacturer. With Toyo Tires, another manufacturer will be taking up the challenges in the “Green Hell”. “We are delighted to be one of the first teams to compete with the new Toyota Supra GT4 in racing conditions. With the Nürburgring Nordschleife as a renowned test track, we have a promising package for the further development and optimisation of the Supra,” says Team Principle Uwe Kleen. “Our task is now to perfectly adjust both cars to the track and the tyres in the races before the 24-Hour Race in order to then compete in the season highlight under the best possible conditions.”

When the first race of the season, the 66th ADAC Westfalenfahrt, is on the calendar on 21st March, Ring Racing will be at the start with a total of four cars. In addition to the RC F and the Supra, a Toyota GT86 and a BMW 125i will be used in the first two races. These two cars will be driven by four drivers of Novel Racing for obtaining the Permit A. The first rollout for the Toyota Supra GT4 and the Lexus RC F will be on the 14th of March during the test and set-up sessions.
