Vettel and Bellof will share a cockpit

The Nordschleife exerts a magical attraction. Fabian Vettel is now also going to follow this appeal. The younger brother of Formula One star Sebastian Vettel will make his debut at the legendary Eifel race track when he will contest the six-hour ADAC Ruhr Pokal Rennen for the Pixum Team Adrenalin Motorsport. Vettel will share the cockpit of a BMW M235i Racing with Georg Bellof and Andre Duve. The 62 years old brother of the fatally injured Stefan Bellof competed in 2015 already in two VLN rounds.

Vettel is very much looking forward to his first participation at the “Green Hell”. “Believe me, I can hardly wait to start at the Nordschleife for my first time. The track features an amazing history and is absolutely unique in the world. I have been at the 24 hour race several times as a spectator and I am really excited to have the opportunity now to sit behind the wheel myself. This represents a big step for me which I will tackle with due respect but also full of anticipation.” The 19-years old race driver intends to focus in future on participating in the big classical long-distance races. “In the next years, I would like to compete at the Nürburgring, in Spa or Le Mans. However, I will have to gain a lot of experience in the meantime and the VLN represents a very good test ground for that purpose”, Vettel says.
