Great names on legendary asphalt: Berger, Schumacher and Lauda will tackle the Green Hell

The line-up for the Red Bull Formula Nürburgring is growing: With Gerhard Berger, Ralf Schumacher and Mathias Lauda, three more well-known drivers have been confirmed to drive historic Formula 1 cars on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife on the Saturday of the 12h Nürburgring (9-10 September 2023) as part of show runs. Motorsport fans who want to be there live will however have to hurry: Only a small contingent of tickets is still available for the spectacle in the Müllenbachschleife.

The 9th of September 2023 will go down in history. With Gerhard Berger, a veteran of Formula 1 will do the honours at the Red Bull Formula Nürburgring: 210 races contested and ten victories – the last one in 1997 on German soil. The Austrian will drive a Ferrari 412 T2 during the show run in the Green Hell. With 180 Grand Prix races and six victories, Ralf Schumacher also has an impressive career in Formula 1 behind him. He will take his Williams FW 25 on the Nordschleife for one lap. Mathias Lauda will also be at the start. The son of three-time world champion Niki Lauda will create goose bumps around the Eifel circuit with his father’s legendary Ferrari 312.

In addition to Berger, Schumacher and Lauda, Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda are already confirmed as participants in the Red Bull Formula Nürburgring. Besides them, the Red Bull Drift Brothers, the trial bike artists Adrian Guggemos and Aras Gibieža as well as FMX world champion Luc Ackermann will create a stir.

The Red Bull Formula Nürburgring is embedded in the schedule of the 63rd ADAC ACAS Cup on 9 September. The NLS qualifying will take place from 8:00 to 9:40 hrs, the race will start at 15:30 hrs and run over the distance of six hours. The 62nd ADAC Reinoldus-Langstreckenrennen will take place the following day (10 September).
