12h Nürburgring: a motorsport festival for the whole family

A major event is casting its shadow ahead: the premiere of the 12h Nürburgring. The new season highlight of the Nürburgring Endurance Series to be held from 9 to 11 September 2022 will be a motorsport festival for the whole family. Camping at the Nordschleife is possible and tickets are available from €25 at www.vln.de/tickets. Click here for the timetable:

A total of almost 23 hours of action on the race track from Friday to Sunday, the big ‘Back to the 9Os’ party on Saturday evening, a comprehensive entertainment programme in the paddocks and the ring°boulevard and more than 400 exhibition vehicles presented by BMW M and the Porsche Club Nürburgring mean that there will be no time for boredom. There will be plenty to experience – for all ages: The Haribo Golden Bear, Chase and Skye from PAW Patrol, Batman as well as the two famous movie cars K.I.T.T. from the series Knight Rider or the DeLorean from ‘Back to the Future’ can be discovered on site.

The ring°boulevard will be transformed into a large fan area during the 12h Nürburgring. The Haribo Roadshow is primarily aimed at the young public, and the RPR1. Livemobile will be hosting interactive activities for all age groups throughout the entire weekend. Other exhibitors are Manthey Racing, Bilstein and Blåkläder. BMW M will also showcase its products in the ring°blouevard. Other racing icons from Munich can be seen in front of the Bitburger Event Centre as well as in the Historic Paddocks. The Porsche Club Nürburgring also has a number of classic cars on display – to be found in the ring°caré.

There is also plenty to see in the paddocks. The Falken Drift Show, which will provide plenty of rubber on the track on Saturday afternoon, will offer passenger rides on the event area. In line with the ‘Pay what you want’ pricing model, donations will be collected for those affected by the flood disaster in the Ahr valley. The minimum price for the unforgettable taxi ride experience with one of the drift experts is 20 euros. Even one year after the catastrophic flood event of the century, every cent counts to help the popular holiday region not far from the Nürburgring to regain its former glamour.

In addition, as usual at the NLS, you can look over the teams’ shoulders in the pits. As long as the engines are silent, access to the pit lane is also possible. From 12:00 to 12:45 on Saturday, there will be an autograph session during the pitwalk with all participants of the race. After that, during the gridwalk from 13:00, it’s time for an extra-long visit to the grid for all ticket holders.

On Saturday evening it’s party time at the ring°arena. Under the motto ‘Back to the 90s’, Masterboy & Beatrix Delgado, Candela Squad, Caught in the Act, Loona and the DJ team Mütze Katze will have the honour to perform from 20:30. There will be a warm-up from 18:30 in the ring°boulevard at the RPR1.Livemobil. Tickets are available for 29.90 euros at www.nuerburgring.de. Upon purchasing a 12h Nürburgring ticket, buyers will receive a € 5.00 discount on the additional booking of the concert ticket.
