With an overwhelming triumph the 24h race 2011 ended for Manthey- Racing: In front of 250,000 spectators along the GP track as well as the legendary Nordschleife Marc Lieb, Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Lucas Luhr won the 39th edition of the long-distance classic with the yellow-green Porsche 911 GT3 RSR! For Manthey-Racing it was already the fifth victory of the traditional race marathon within the last six years! It was also one of the most thrilling and most dramatic 24h races at the Nürburgring in which Manthey-Racing managed the trick to set up a new distance record for the third time. The driver quartet went through impressive 156 rounds in a day length!
Team principal Olaf Manthey stressed the special value of historic success: „This victory is particularly valuable for me because we made it against so many strong competitors as never before!“
Due to the historical background of the victory the strictly limited two-car set fascinates with exclusive details as they weren\’t available in this form to this day: The base plate decorates the above-mentioned quotation Olaf Mantheys and all relevant data round runnings and vehicle! Highlight is, however, the separation of the start and the finish version of the winner GT3 RSR. The last-named version is very near at the original car with different wheels and the clear visible fight traces after a 24-hour and hard racing use!
Exactly 500 of the exclusive sets are manufactured by the well-known model car specialist Spark, but only 450 sets will go on sale.
