The VLN endurance racing championship Nürburgring will in 2013 be completed by another Cup vehicle. Based on the Toyota GT86, a race vehicle has been developed which will compete in a separate classification of the TMG GT86 Cup. The cup will be particularly attractive due to the fascination in racing at the Nordschleife but also due to an interesting amount of prize money and other awards.

The GT86 CS-V3 has already proven its potential at VLN races in finishing as class winner. The 2012 prototype has already completed more than 7,000 test kilometres in race conditions and shown a record-braking reliability. The consumption of spare parts hereby was minimal.

The TMG GT86 Cup will offer a cost-effective possibility to start participating in one of Europe’s leading motorsport series. The annual registration fee of only €2,500 also includes additional benefits free of charge such as a TMG branded race overall as well as VIP hospitality packages and exclusive reductions on tyres and spare parts on-site at the race circuit. Moreover, the GT86 CS-V3 is available at extremely fair conditions, for a price of €45,815 (including German VAT). Last but not least, an attractive amount of prize money and additional awards totalling in around 50,000 euros will be distributed.

Even though the Nürburgring 24 Hour Race is not officially part of the TMG GT86 Cup calendar, the car is eligible to compete in the race in class V3. And the perspectives are brilliant as the prototype of the GT86 CS-V3 has already won its class in 2012.

TMG President Yoshiaki Kinoshita: “This is exciting news for TMG and for the fans of endurance racing. I wish to thank the VLN organisation, Toyota Motor Europe and IKmedia for their support and assistance in establishing this new TMG GT86 Cup. It will definitely be fantastic to watch several GT86 CS-V3 race cars competing against each other in such an established series and on a race track like the Nürburgring. We are proud of having developed with the GT86 CS-V3 such a reliable and fast race car for rookies and I am therefore expecting a very close competition and a great racing experience next season.”
