BMW M3 GT2 starts at the Barbarossapreis

The spectacular BMW M3 GT2 will celebrate its premiere at the Nürburgring Nordschleife on occasion of the 41st ADAC Barbarossapreis race. The team of Schnitzer-Motorsport which is based in Freilassing has entered Jörg Müller and Augusto Farfus from Brasil for the race on 3rd of October. Two weeks later, on 17th of October, Dirk Müller and Andy Priaulx will take over the steering wheel of the 485 HP strong race car.

“The participation in the races of the BFGoodrich Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring are intended to bring the development of the BMW M3 GT2 forward in racing at the most demanding circuit of the world, the Nordschleife”, informs BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen. Apart from the two participations at the Nordschleife, the BMW M3 GT2 will also take part in the American Le Mans Series on 26th of September and on 11th of October. On 1st of November the 2009 programme will finish with the participation in the Asian Le Mans Series.
