Here the boss still drives himself…

VLN boss Mike Jäger will once again take the wheel himself as part of the ROWE 6h ADAC Ruhr Cup race. On Friday, the 27-time class winner of the ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie will climb into the cockpit of an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 to give interested fans an unforgettable lap of the “Green Hell”. The cab slots are available from a price of 299 euros. The proceeds will be donated to the track safety stewards.

“Even as an active driver, I was always extremely grateful to the stewards. Without the girls and boys out on the Nordschleife, no race would take place. And on the rare occasions when I was their ‘customer’ after a slip-up or accident, I quickly realized that you can simply rely on the stewards in the Green Hell,” says Jäger, who has been in charge of the traditional Nordschleife championship since the end of 2022. “Even though I understandably hung up my helmet in the NLS, I was repeatedly asked by fans when I would get behind the wheel again. This gave rise to the idea of offering a few cab laps with me at the wheel on the Friday before the 6h race for the benefit of the stewards.”

The Aston Martin Vantage GT4 will be provided by PROsport Racing. The traditional racing team from the Eifel region has been fielding GT3 and GT4 models of the British super sports car in the NLS for many years. The cab slots are available from a minimum price of 299 euros. Anyone who can and wants to pay more will be sure of the thanks of the track safety stewards. The proceeds from the cab rides will go to the volunteers. On one of the remaining NLS dates (October 19 or November 16), there will be another get-together on Saturday evening after the race. The VLN will once again say thank you with a barbecue and cold drinks.
